Jacqueline focuses on the effects of the housing crises. Jacqueline follows a college student struggling to find accommodation after her eviction. Unable to find accommodation with her house mates she strikes out alone and ends up in some unsavoury circumstances. Felling anxious she decides to leave not realising how long it would take to find somewhere else and ending up on a conveyor belt of couches and cheap hostels.
As the play progresses Jacqueline befriends Davie, who has lived on the streets for almost a decade. Davie gives a glimpse of what life could be like, and provides her with much-needed understanding and insight. As the play continues both characters are presented with great opportunities that they hope will pull them out of their current situations. But as we all know things don’t always turn out how we hoped.
