Kailok’ is a project formed by Galway musician, living between Cork an Kerry, Caitriona Murphy (Previously Kaiona Solas- see soundcloud) in which she explores themes old and new through surging vocal melodies and rhythms inspired by the changing Irish landscape. Often performing with other musicians an spoken word artists she weaves styles, having spent a few years living in far away lands. What we are left with is a meandering of Irish trad, Mexican folk, African rhythms and French Chansons. As well as her array of languages she plays and anomaly of instruments from African harp to Irish whistles and concertina, guitar, bouzouki and bodhrán. Come, enjoy and have your heart replenished.)”
