Galway Fringe Festival

“Distilling the immediacy of The Strokes, the swaggering-danceability of The Stone Roses, the brio of The Libertines & the wry social commentary of The Smiths, The Clockworks are beginning to put the small town of Loughrea Co. Galway on the map. In a great year since their last Fringe performance, the band have enjoyed shows in London, Dublin & Cork & received extensive Irish radio play with their single ‘Mazda”.

THUMPER describe themselves as a noise-pop quartet from Dublin, delivering bubblegum pop through a wall of sonic death. With a reputation for raucous & frenzied live shows at festivals such as Other Voices, Electric Picnic & Knockanstockan, THUMPER are going places & are not to be missed at this years Galway Fringe Festival.

Drown are a Galway based post-punk outfit brought together over a love of the subversive & perverse.

Compared to the likes of DIIV, Sonic Youth & Joy Division, Drown have been making progress since their Fringe debut last year receiving stellar reviews on their self-titled EP & having trended on Reddit & Spotify.

Dry Roasted Peanuts are an Alt-Rock band from Cork blazing their way through 2017, having won UCC’s battle of the bands & the Inter-varsities battle of the bands at The Loft in Galway. With an EP release & festival appearances this summer, we can expect to be hearing more about Dry Roasted Peanuts.

Opening the night are Galway based five-piece Ignition. Having made their fringe debut last year, the band have enjoyed an successful EP release & launch since.
